A Dream Venue for Your Italian Celebration
Nestled in the heart of Chianti, just 4 kilometers from Siena, Tenuta di Monaciano offers a picturesque setting that blends rustic charm with timeless elegance. This enchanting estate comprises an agricultural farm, charming farmhouses that host an agriturismo, and the stately Villa with its captivating English garden.
Explore acres of vineyards and olive groves along scenic white roads that wind through the estate. The gardens of the Villa feature a grassy amphitheater surrounded by ancient trees and marble statues, providing a stunning backdrop for any celebration.
Hidden within the English garden lies the historic “Limonaia,” where lemon trees are sheltered during winter, alongside an 18th-century greenhouse preserving hundreds of plants and flowers from around the globe. It’s a breathtaking location perfect for hosting grand events like weddings.
I am thrilled to film a wedding at Tenuta di Monaciano because its magnificent views provide endless opportunities for capturing unforgettable moments on video. With such a spectacular setting, I am confident in creating truly remarkable wedding films here!
Welcome Dinner at Tenuta di Monaciano
On Thursday, international guests arrived and settled into their apartments before gathering for the “Welcome Dinner” in the impressive former wine cellar. This vast, vaulted room was perfect for accommodating a large group like theirs.
Teddy and Kristen, along with their parents, warmly greeted guests as they arrived and invited them to take their seats for the evening’s festivities. The night unfolded beautifully, with guests mingling and being entertained by the couple and their families. With my camera in hand, I captured all the memorable moments to include in my wedding video at Tenuta di Monaciano.
The Pool Party
The following day was bustling with activity, kicking off with an outdoor brunch at the old barn perched atop a hill. This spot offered breathtaking views of the vineyards and Villa di Monaciano, setting a perfect scene for a memorable “Wedding in Siena.” After brunch, everyone headed straight to the pool for a lively Pool Party. With DJ tunes filling the air, guests delighted in swimming and sunbathing.
Teddy and Kristen joined after a quick couple’s photo shoot among the vineyards and a light lunch. Despite some unexpected rain as they reached the pool, spirits remained high. The bravest continued swimming while Teddy and Kristen danced under umbrellas to the DJ’s beats.
Once the rain cleared, festivities resumed with renewed vigor—swimming, cigars, dancing, and beer flowed freely. I seized this opportunity to capture aerial footage of Tenuta di Monaciano. Later that afternoon, the couple changed outfits for a video and photo session at the stunning Certosa di Pontignano, capturing their love amidst cloisters and gardens.
After concluding the photo session at Certosa di Pontignano, we returned to Tenuta di Monaciano where Teddy and Kristen were eagerly awaited in the villa’s beautifully decorated courtyard for dinner. They received a warm welcome with enthusiastic applause from their guests. The evening unfolded perfectly under a starry sky, featuring an open barbecue, musical entertainment, and a cascade of heartfelt speeches from numerous friends expressing gratitude and cherishing their wonderful friendship with the couple.
Teddy’s father opened this series of touching tributes with a memorable speech, all captured through my video lens. As the night drew to a close, we wrapped up the pre-celebrations to rest and recharge for the big day ahead.
The Wedding Day – Preparations
The big day has finally arrived, and the villa is alive with excitement from the early morning. In the elegant rooms of Villa di Monaciano, Kristen, accompanied by her mothers and closest friends, begins her hair and makeup preparations. Meanwhile, Teddy enjoys a relaxing morning by the stunning pool with panoramic views, joined by both fathers, siblings, and his closest friends. They then head to the magnificent park below the villa for an open-air shave—a truly unique experience!
Back at the villa with Kristen, she opens a bottle to toast while savoring the breathtaking view from the main terrace. A gift arrives from Teddy for his mother. Overcome with emotion, she opens a heartfelt letter filled with loving words from her son and bursts into tears of joy upon receiving a beautiful gold ring adorned with a fabulous emerald.
I make my way to the Blue Room of the villa where Teddy, along with both fathers, brothers, and closest friends are getting ready. They assist each other with shirts, bow ties, and cufflinks as I meticulously capture every detail.
Upstairs with Kristen now set with hair and makeup complete, I manage to capture stunning close-ups and moments of her relaxing before slipping into her wedding dress.
Returning downstairs to find Teddy finishing up their attire preparations. He presents gifts to both fathers and brothers (his own as well as hers), who open them filled with heartfelt emotion—pocket watches engraved with their names. Soon after, Teddy receives a precious gift: a Rolex pocket watch accompanied by a heartfelt letter from Kristen which he reads deeply moved.
With everyone ready for this special occasion they depart for what promises be an unforgettable ceremony at beautiful Certosa di Pontignano church!
The Ceremony at the Stunning Certosa di Pontignano
I go up to Kristen, who is finishing getting dressed and putting on her jewelry. She looks divine in her beautiful wedding dress. The photographer and I capture her like a goddess on the grand staircase of the villa as she descends to meet her father, who bursts into tears of emotion at seeing her.
We arrive at the church of Certosa di Pontignano, where Kristen makes her entrance, leaving Teddy speechless. At the end of the wedding ceremony, Teddy and Kristen have the honor of entering the frescoed room for signing—a truly enchanting place. Unfortunately, the weather turns against us: it starts raining just as we are about to throw petals outside the church. Luckily, we manage to do it just before a downpour begins.
Due to the weather, we decide to take family photos under the cloister and bring the couple back into the frescoed room for individual shots. This choice proves perfect: the beauty of the room and its lighting create breathtaking images that will beautifully enhance my Tenuta di Monaciano Wedding video!
The Aperitif and Dinner
Upon returning to the villa at Tenuta di Monaciano, the relentless rain prompts us to serve the aperitif inside the luxurious rooms of Villa di Tenuta di Monaciano. Whenever the rain subsides, guests also enjoy the outdoor space in front of the villa. At one point, a break in the clouds reveals a burst of sunlight. Seizing this opportunity, the photographer and I quickly take Teddy and Kristen outside for some stunning shots in that magical light. I even manage to capture aerial footage with my drone as they embrace on the terrace—truly spectacular.
Given the unpredictable weather, dinner is set up inside the former wine cellar—a grand gray hall with beautiful barrel vaults—a more than worthy Plan B for such an extraordinary event.
The cake cutting and toast take place in front of the villa’s façade, with guests surrounding the couple holding sparklers.
The celebration then kicks off in full swing in the gray hall, beginning with Kristen and Teddy’s first dance. This is followed by touching dances between bride and father, and groom and mother.
Final Day – The Brunch
On the final day, the newlyweds and their guests gather for a delightful brunch in the side garden of Villa di Monaciano. Guests begin to arrive gradually, creating an atmosphere of anticipation. Eventually, Teddy and Kristen make their entrance, greeted warmly by everyone present. The brunch unfolds with heartfelt goodbyes, laughter, and numerous congratulations for the couple.
The ambiance is filled with joy as friends and family reminisce about the unforgettable moments shared over these four incredible days. It’s evident that everyone will leave with cherished memories of this extraordinary celebration in such a stunning location.
